Wi-Fi Alliance Strengthens Security The Wi-Fi Alliance today unveiled enhancements to Wi-Fi Protected Access 2 and previewed new technologies to further strengthen WiFi security, called WPA3. The alliance's Wi-Fi Certified program is designed to ensure interoperability and security of WiFi equipment. My understanding of it is that WPA3 could theoretically be added to existing hardware via a software (and potentially also a firmware) update. I don't know enough about the software stack of the Unifi APs to tell whether there is some form of hardware based offloading that wouldn't be compatible.
DesignCon is the largest gathering of chip, board, and systems designers in the country. For the past 24 years, DesignCon has been the premier educational conference and technology exhibition for electronics design engineers in the high-speed communications and semiconductor communities. What is accreditation and how does accreditation benefit my organization? These are common questions from organizations pursuing accreditation for the first time. In this educational webinar Natalia Larrimer, Engagement and Program Development Manager for ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board (ANAB), will answer these questions and more.
Natalia’s remarks will be most meaningful for those within laboratories as well as government and private industry. The presentation will provide an overview of accreditation standards and their general content, allowing organizations to recognize how technology can help in meeting some of the accreditation requirements.
Additionally, Qualtrax compliance software will be discussed, to show how organizations can use software to work towards conformance with ISO standards.
