I'm not sure if I will play it again when I finish it though as some levels are frustrating, require precision and are time consuming. But even if this one does get frustrating at times I was hooked when I got to Prague and I knew I would probably play it to the end.
#Indiana jones and the emperors tomb kraken ps2#
There are quite a few games that I didn't complete on the PS2 because they where too hard and frustrating. The gameplay is also pretty good with a few things I liked less, and the game is long enough. But even though they might have missed so opportunities I can forgive this since the game is good enough as it is with decent graphics for the time, good sounds, and lots of locations to visit. Yes I also think that Mei-Ying doesn't bring alot to the game besides fighting by your side a few times, and I did forget about her also. Personally, first time I played it, I completely forgot about saving Mei-Ying while going through the Peng-Lai Base levels until he brought it up again right before Black Dragon Fortress. Of course, the savegame system is a bit bonkers, Von Beck's Revenge can sod off (doing a midwhip jump was never really a thing before, and as such, doing this one was a doozy), but overall, quite well.īe sure to take note of how long each pillar does its thing, and watch out for the floating, blue, kamehameha ball shooting, resurrecting skeleton.īy the way, do you think Mei-Ying's character was totally under-utilized? She was terrific in Prague, Istanbul, and the Emperor's Tomb, but other than that she just became. The water enemies always scare me every time they catch up to me, and HOLY HECK the giant croc at the end Ceylon, not too much problems with the Kraks though (especially with the spear gun you found in that level). There's a couple of on rail shootout sequences that's ok, and you can find secret artifacts as well (that unlocks something if you find all of them, haven't managed to do that myself though).

You don't get infinite ammo or dual pistols though, which kind of gives an interesting take since you use mostly melee weapons here from your fists, a machete (that can cut vines), all the way to objects around the environment. It's almost like TR2-ish in a way, with the temple start, Venice-like middle, gun-toting enemies, underwater exploration, and floating island-like end. Played this a while back, had some pretty good fun with it. Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb - The Netherworld Especially when you knock off their arms and torso, and they try to kick you to death :D Killing the Terracotta Soldiers with it is very cool. The most Awsome part near the end of the Game is when you use the Chirugai Blade that Kurtis has in AOD.That area has a very Floating Islands feel about it. Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine Teaser Trailer (apologies for poor quality of clip below) The graphics are dated, but the game is great and there's a cool Spielberg easter egg in one of the secrets. I really enjoyed playing it and looking forward to the next game :jmp:Īnd, as yesrushdt has said, do check out the Infernal Machine if you can find it.

Looking forward to the next Indiana Jones game LucasArts is developing for Xbox360/PS3.I love the Emperor's Tomb. That has a much better balance of action sequences and puzzle solving/exploration. Emperor's Tomb was pretty good, but I definitely prefered Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine.
